Jakarta (30/4) - At the national event SPS Awards 2024 hosted by the Press Company Union (SPS), the management of PT Pelindo Marine Service's corporate social media accounts was awarded The Best Corporate's Social Media - Bronze Winner, in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/4). After receiving the award symbolically, VP of Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Relations of Pelindo Marine, Hafidz Novalsyah, stated that Pelindo Marine is committed to supporting the theme of SPS Awards 2024, 'Healthy Press Industry for Strong Democracy' through strategic corporate social media management efforts that synergize information with the press.
"In this rapidly converging digital era, corporate social media management can be optimized for information synergy with the press. Especially in terms of information accuracy, thematic selection (agenda setting), and collaboration to amplify messages to the public. Thus, it can minimize the misinformation that hinders collaborative efforts to build the nation. A fair and optimistic information atmosphere will realize healthy relations with the press, for a strong democracy, as the foundation for building the Golden Generation of Indonesia in 2045," he explained.
In the Indonesia Digital Media Awards (IDMA) category, which Pelindo Marine participated in, there were 118 entries competing from various State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and private companies. The SPS Awards ceremony was attended by the leaders of press companies, government and corporate public relations leaders, as well as student press managers from across Indonesia. Besides Pelindo Marine, another entity within the Pelindo business group that received an award was Subholding PT Pelindo Multi Terminal.
Januar P Ruswita, the President of the Press Company Union (SPS) for the period 2023-2027, stated in his address, "The Press Company Union (SPS) is the oldest press company organization, established 78 years ago, with most of its members being print media companies. To motivate and appreciate media managers, we have organized the SPS Awards for the 15th time."
On the same occasion, the Secretary-General of the Press Company Union (SPS) Pusat, Asmono Wikan, expressed, "I highly appreciate all entries for the SPS Awards 2024. Each competition entry presents a creative challenge that must be overcome through strengthening the journalistic and visual competencies of media personnel. This competition is designed to produce the best works in the field of print and online journalism that are always relevant to the needs of their audience, without compromising professional journalistic approaches."
The Jury Board for the SPS Awards 2024 consists of 7 judges: Jojo S Nugroho (Advisory Board of the Indonesian PR Association), Mas Sulistyo (Creative Director of the DM ID Group), Asmono Wikan (Secretary-General of the Press Company Union (SPS) Pusat), Agus Susanto (Kompas Daily Photo Journalist), Nia Sarinastiti (Communication Science Lecturer from Atma Jaya University), Yadi Hendriana (Chair of the Press Ethics Complaints Commission at the Press Council), and Hermanus Prihatna (Retired Photo Editor of Antara News Agency).
